I'm going with the Tigers (hometeam) and if the Yankees do not start losing either team will have a chance.

The Mariners have no chance to win the wild card this year. If the Yankees just win 8 of their final 17 games the Mariners would have to win 16 of their final 18 and that is not going to happen.

Sorry, I don't think so. Seattle is 6.5 games behind, and they only have 18 games left. It's almost impossible to make up that many games in such a short time unless the team you're chasing collapses. I don't see that happening to the Yankees considering how well they've played since the All-Star break, and the fact that 14 of New York's final 17 games are against teams that currently have losing records (although one of their opponents, Toronto, is only one game under .500).

No. They just did not win any of the big games/series down the stretch.

I don't think they are even in the top four anymore, are they? I think (unfortunately) that the Yankees will do it but I really WANT it to be the Tigers!!!
