a good number of restrooms here in the states actually have lounging chairs where you can rest or relax.....like restrooms of big department stores like macy's or penny's have an ante-room where you can prop your feet up after hours of shopping...heaven!!!

One thing it is sounds alot better than the bathroom...... And even if it is called a rest room you can see that when you go inside of it there are toilets....... So just leave it be if that is what they want to call it its ok with me...... I grew up in the philippines and when I came back to the states I asked people where is the restroom or CR and they just looked at me like I was strange or something and then I remembered that they dont call the bathrooms that here...... So I had to adjust to that a little bit but I still call it a restroom when I go back to the philippines...... Hope this helps.....

Females like to spend time in the restroom. That is one of the reason why you can find sofas and chairs in certain company restrooms. I really do think that restrooms in Roman time were initially designed where folk could actually rest. I know it seems illogical for someone to rest in a putrid smelling place. However, many restrooms have excellent ventilation systems. They smell fresh all day long. I do not like to spend too much time in them. However, I will not hate on those who do.

lol. but according to Wikipedia: "One reason some Americans prefer "restroom" over "bathroom" is that restrooms do not have bathtubs. The word "washroom" is also sometimes used in the United States to denote a "laundry room".

Yes. It's the best spot in the world to rest with central focus on the white throne technically called water closet. There I find peace, solitude and tranquility sitting on a white throne I can call my own even just for a brief period couple of times a day. A throne no one will attempt to covet. A throne no one will envy. A throne you could not exchange for anything in the world if you are LBM'ed.
There I sat and mended a broken heart and flushed the s*it together with what I remembered of her. My throne! My paradise!

Yes, I do some rest at the rest room. If I'm tired at work and my boss is around I entered the rest room and do some rest.
