What gets me, is that the whole thing going on with Iran now is an exact copy of what we went through with Iraq - and SO MANY PEOPLE don't see it!

I wouldn't believe Bush if I asked him for directions to the rest rooms. The man is an out and out liar. Nothing he has done or said has been above board. There is absolutely nothing that connects 9/11 and and Iraq. Osama Bin Ladan, if he is even alive, is/was from Saudi Arabia and had enough money and men from that country following him. He did not need the help of Saddam. It hasn't even been proved that they knew each other and were ever in league with each other. Saddam had enough on his hands keeping his country in line, and that was a full time job as we have found out. Bin Ladden was more in trenched with the Afghanis and the Pakastanis as it turned out. He never went near Iraq at any point in his world wide tour to evade the Americans. The war was a Bush, and only a Bush event. It was something his father had gotten involved in and had withdrawn from, smartly when he was President. It was as if "W" had to invade and "win" to prove to the old man that he could do something that Dad couldn't do. Well, he's failed on all fronts. His father wasn't a great present, but at least he was a Politician and he knew where his flaws lay. He left office with honor. His son will leave one step away from being thrown out and with one of the lowest popularity rating, at last look 28% and going down.
There is no need for us to be in Iraq, and I for one think it would have been better to have left Saddam in place and left them alone.

Only an idiot would start a war based on the reasoning you just rattled off... that pretty much says it all about Mr. President

Why would you care what I think? Well, I think you just wanted to ask a question so you could call someone you can't face an idiot. Your accusation is so tired and uncreative that it's not hard to tell where you get your opinions. Try something new...think for yourself.

remember!

First in 2003, was Saddam and his 17 MAJOR violations of UN resolutions, which many here "seem to forget".......!!!!!!!!!, he was on them due to basically been basically a convicted felon (Saddam) on parole due to his little incursion into Kuwait in 1991, THEN all throught the 1990's violating his "parole" (UN sanctions) and getting away with it , and been asked to pay for those violations FINNALLY in 2003!!!!

some of his violations were for example even firing missiles at our pilots in the UN "No fly Zones" imposed after the war of 1991, attacks that occured all the way up to the late 1990's!!!!!,

ACTS of WAR in themselves!!!!!!!! which were reason enough to go in there and kick his "behind"!!!!

http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1p1-19289981...

but again may here seem to FORGET that, do you "people"????

...ALSO....never mind that the butthole paid money to terrorist attacking civilians in Gaza and the West Bank...never mind that right?????

on the WMD...didn't you read story of WMD in the UN from Iraq?:

http://ca.news.yahoo.com/s/afp/070830/world/un_gas_alert

plus info on what they had:

http://www.iraqwatch.org/profiles/biological.html

they had the stuff, they just sent it to Syria, just like a drug dealer will pass the drugs to a buddy just as the cops come to arrest him, so that way he is "clean"! , get it? oldest trick in the book!:

http://www.nysun.com/article/26514

http://www.2la.org/syria/iraq-wmd.php

and on and on and on...no , all we hear is the Iraq war was wrong bla bla bla......bulll...bull....bull.... !!!!

he had it coming to him period!!!!!

now after the invasion, it is Alqaeda in a small part there, but moslty extremists Sunnies (some which are ex-Saddam loyalists) and extremist Shiites who were oppressed by Saddam for decades fighting for dominance...!

it is simple but most people can not "see the trees" now adays....

I agree. If President Bush hadn't listened to President Clinton, and hadn't cited weapons of mass destruction, we would have gone after Hussein and you wouldn't be asking this question.
