Sympathy implies that you feel sorry for a person and that's just a hop, skip and a jump away from pity which breeds contempt. No one deserves my sympathy but everyone deserves my understanding.

Everyone deserves your sympathy as long as they need it because i think toda'ys problems are a result of lack of sympathy ie street children,orphans,refugees,beggars etc even terrorists do what they do because they lack sympathy

Whoever calls out my name to ask a question or say "Help." gets my attention, and; you can call that my sympathy if you want, but if my name is called; I respond. Just don't do it three times or you may get a Beetleguese/ Candyman thing. I think.
