I'm an American, but I realize that Most Americans are numb.
TV numbs us, loud car stereos numb us, food numbs us, sex numbs us. We do what we have to do to just survive and make it to the next day. For the most part, Americans are hard workers who work all day long and just want to go home and be comfortabley numb.
I am a big science buff, and I don't like ball sports. I like martial arts instead. BUT I AM ALONE ON ALL THIS.
All I want to talk about all day is science and philosophy.
But, I am very alone on this.
HOWEVER, I've not met anyone else from any other country who lives the way I like to live.
The British like to get numb
The Mexican like to get numb
The Canadians like to be numb
The Germans like to be numb
The French are really really numb.
So, since all these other numb people are acting just like each other, why do they complain about Americans?????
They are being big fat hypocrites !
OH, wait, maybe complaining all the time about Americans is just another way to numb up!

Hey I resent those choices! It depends on the individual. There are assholes but there are people with extraordinary personalities. I'm going to reside there next year.

Most of the Americans are descendants of immigrants going back five hundred years. Currently they are insulated and isolated in their own paranoia, and fears. They are trying very hard to be better but have no viable leadership.
