We rented a trailer to pull in back of the car, but then found that the car couldn't pull the weight. Any thoughts on preferences for renting a U-Haul, Penske, or Budget truck with car in toe dolly, or having a moving company move things for us?

Sell everything and buy used when you get there. The gas and other costs will be much lower.

Uhaul is cheap but a pain in the a-ss some times to return.
