I like to knit, but Im really not too good at it. So then I saw something in magazine about a knitting machine and thought that would be awesome to have. But I have no idea what to do with one, where to buy one, or how it works. Can anybody explain it to me? I would love to be able to make nice looking things for my family and friends.

A knitting machine has between 100 and 200 needles. You attach yarn and push a carriage from left to right than from right to left over the needles. It will do the knitting and purling automatically.

If you want to see what one looks like go here:

You can get them with a ribber or without. A ribber is a bottom set of needles that will do all types of ribbing.

I love the knitting machines as they are so fast. You can get them manual or electronic. You can knit a hat in 15 minutes or a sweater in 4 hours.

A knitting machine is a device used to create knitted fabrics in a semi or fully automated fashion.

Strangely enough... it's a machine that knits.... NOT automatically ... but just about.,... a little help from the operator.
