I know it's calcuim carbonate, but when the calcium is with the hydrochloric acid, is there a colour change? Thanks.

Metal + acid-->salt + hydrogen gas
Ca(s)+2HCl(aq)-->
Ca(Cl)2(aq)+H2(g)
The products are calcium chloride and hydrogen gas.

I think you mean calcium chloride
