Something is putting pressure on your optic nerves. I had this and it was because I had too much spinal fluid around my brain. A spinal tap later, I am all better and no problems for about 10 years now.

sounds like allergies. They get worse in the mornings.
Try an over the counter antihistimne and decongestant Take at night and see if you are better in the morning. Or take a second dose in the morning if needed.
Make sure your sleeping area isn't dusty. If you can - don't sleep with the windows open.
I think you have sinus trouble.
Always check with your doctor or pharmisist

Do you wear glasses or contacts? Perhaps your prescription needs to be changed. A simple visit to your ophthamologist is less intimidating than a regular visit to the physician and they will also check the pressure in your eyes as part of the visit. They have a very painless way of doing it these days with just a little puff of air blowing on your eye.
Get your eyes checked. Or I'll punish you.... ;)

I'm not sure, but it sounds similar to something that I experience. It is a form of a severe migriane. Migraines themselves can have one or multiple symptoms, many times overlapping different types/forms.
If not a migraine, it could also be what's known as "cluster headaches" which are much more severe.
(I do not like doctors either) I hope this helped and feel free to contact me if you would like to know more about my experiences or anything else.

Sounds like you have a sinus infection, you could try using a netty potti to clear the sinus's before bed and see if that helps.

im am a filipina, and we have alot of superstitions. And there is one that goes if you sleep with your hair wet or back it can cause blindness and headaches.
When i was young my mother use to tell me not to go to sleep with the back of my shirt wet because when i'd sleep the heat from my body would go straight to my head and eyes causing headaches and pain in the eyes.
hope this helps...

Is there anyone who can observe you when you sleep, to see if you clench your jaw/grind your teeth in your sleep? That's a common cause of morning headaches, and can often be alleviated with a simple nightguard.

If your sinus are not full, have you been taking Ambien or another sleep medicene? I took Ambien for about a month and had similar headaches.
