I can't remember where I heard it but I swear somewhere once I read about an old story that cold chills were evidence of people walking on your grave (much like the old idea that sneezing was a way of your soul trying to escape the body).

They are old wives tales.

That has been around a long time. I heard it even when I was very young and I'm 52 now. It goes along with the thought that time is circular not linear. So when someone in the future walks on your grave you feel it now.

It's an old wives' tale (pardon the title). I just read it in mythology/folklore. Check a few pages back. It's a question about wives' tales, so you can find it better. hope I helped.
