They don't freeze their meat, they refrigerate it. So it's more accurate to say they never use frozen meat.
They'll cook up some of the leftover meat and put it in their chili. If you get the chili late at night you'll notice that it has a lot more meat in it.

My 1st (albeit shortterm) job after serving 4 years in the military was at Wendy's working the grill. This was 1986.
Dont know when things changed, but our meat was definiteky frozen. It came in large stacks with each patty separated by some type of paper. Was frozen so solid you could barely force them apart, & lots of times would have to peel the paper from the frozen patty.

Unless things have changed since I worked there, the meat comes in large bags that have been refrigerated not frozen. Then in the morning before opening the store it is run thru a patty making machine. So it is not delivered to the store in pre-made frozen patties like the rest. Also, lettuce, onions and tomatoes are delivered whole and cut up that morning.

I have two brothers that use to work in a beef pkg co and they always say don't eat at wendy's because they don't clean the machines that they use to process/cut the meat. I believe them beacuse they work long hours in the co and they never ate at wendy's and they don't lie.

Would it help if I said their meat is no less fresh than any other fast food restaurant. With all the preservatives and chemicals, it stays fresh for as long as it takes to drive the meat across country in the back of a truck. So, chug your sodas, stuff your face with calories and cholesterol. Happy eating, America!

It isn't as fresh as they say it is... they have raw refridgerated patties, and they throw them on the grill. They don't sit on the grill for more than about 5 minutes... if they sit longer than 5 minutes they throw it away.
