No one in this world can claim to have complete peace of mind while living in the thick of things. You have to earn your living, look after your family well and these two main things which almost everyone does, put so much pressure on you that you are constantly thinking of some problem to tackle or the other. So where can you find peace of mind? If at all, you can get a piece of it by meditation, yoga, your favourite hobby, music etc etc but largely it eludes you...And there is always 'only if'...

you must explain what your definition of peace of mind is. Is peace of mind freedom from anger? happiness? contentment? joy? calmness? the ability to handle any challenge that one encounters with ease and low or no stress? faith in a higher being? What do you mean?
If you are letting someone else interfere with your own peace of mind then perhaps you would not have true peace of mind to begin with. I never get angry, it is not that I suppress emotions, I simply never get angry, I can not explain why nor can I truly understand why people get angry so often, It seems like a lot of work. I would try considering if this Erin you are unhappy with is truly relevant on a greater level, when you are 60 years old will you even remember this incident. I truly hate being cliche but... what does not destroy you makes you stronger.

Yes. It took some time to get to that point, but it is possible for everyone.
