if you legalize one then people will want the next drug on the list legal, before you know it heroine will be legal, but for people who really need it for bone diseases and stuff like that YES it should be legal, unfortunately you have all these pot heads getting medical marijuana when they dont need it making it harder for those who really need it to get it without having society look down on them

I don't smoke pot - however I believe that everything and anything you chose to do with your own body should be legal and none of anyone's business.

Prohibition of alcohol became so difficult to manage that it was repealed after only a few years.
It's estimated that taxes from the legal sale of marijuana in the US could be as much as $30B per year. Combine that with what it costs the US to police, try and imprison offenders and you have another$15B - 20B per year savings. That's a $50B a year windfall to the US...hmmm - yep...legalise it

Absolutely. As long as alcohol is legal, there is no logical reason to continue criminalizing a much less addictive, much less destructive drug. Marijuana was made illegal when the more versatile hemp plant threatened the US cotton industry. In our global economy, there is no longer any reason for this.

And to those of you who believe the myth that pot makes you stupid, I challenge you to prove that of me. I have smoked it almost every day for years (as have most people I know), and I am anything but stupid.

Yes. What's it to me what my neighbor wants to smoke to have a good time? I don't worry about it, so I sure don't want to spend money to pay other people to worry about it.
