They are described is the question. Standard means all the cars have those features. You still have the chose of if you want automatic (R,N,D) or manual transmission (the one with the stick and third pedal).

Standard in this sense means that all Eclipse Spyders come with "front airbags, front side-impact airbags and front-seat side curtain airbags. The standard antilock brakes feature Electronic Brake-force Distribution, which balances front-rear brake application in emergency stops". Its the same as saying "stock"

Standard means it comes with these features (or their respective upgrade) no matter which trim you get.

The car will come with a Transmission PRND12 if it says it's "automatic".

The manual transmission is the one with a "stick".

Both types of transmissions (automatic and manual) are available as options for each of the trim levels, the number of gears available is different. The higher the number of gears the more efficient the car is.

basically what you see is what you get....it's the base model. If it says it comes "standard" with a am/fm radio....that's what you get...if you want a cd player it will be extra....so everything they say is standard on the vehicle is what the manufacturer is saying....any option that you see isn't on there and you want it on there, you will have to pay extra for it....obviously you have any choice in transmissions and engine combo's, so it's all what you want to drive and spend on gas. typically they say you get more power and better economy with a stick shift(stick and extra pedal). Not sure how true that is.

Standard is what comes on the car when you buy it. You don't pay extra for these features, they come "standard" on the car.

You must be clueless in life to not understand this. It means they are not extra cost options. There is no extra charge for what is listed. It's part of the basic as you see it package. It's that simple, why you do not understand it is what I can't understand.
