what has the disney show about a girl who talks to the man in the moon it was from the 80's or 90's

It started on NBC as The Torkelsons. It didn't do very well and they changed it to Almost Home, got rid of a couple of the kids and moved them in with a wealthy family with the mom being a nanny/housekeeper.
Disney repeated the episodes after it was cancelled. I thought it was a good show and I wish they would show it again soon.

I think it was called the Torkelsons. If I'm thinking of the same show the girl's name was Dorthy Jane or something like that.
