It is an NFL Rule that was set up...There have been rumors for years that the Pats rose to Football Power by using Illegal Tactics, but no one has had the proof...People were looking for the Pats to get caught, and they were arrogant enough to do it....They got caught because they decided to cheat against a Former Assistant Coach of the Pats, who now coaches the Jets....That is SLIMY......The Jets coach had every right to turn the Pats into the Police and NFL Security...

Are you serious? What do you call jacking up the heat in the dome for the playoff game when you know half the Patriots lineup had the flu? Was that cheating? I guess not, because the colts and princess Peyton can do no wrong. The Colts and their lame fans are constantly complaining about the Patriots. "They play too rough". "They're better than us, do something."... Stop it. This whole topic is ridiculous. Do you really think there's a team in the league that's NOT doing stuff like this? Come on... Even Bill Parcells and other commentators on ESPN have been talking about just that. (Well, except Mark Schlereth, but he's a documented Patriots hater)...
Even still, forfeit the season? Give me a break... Maybe forfeit a draft pick, MAYBE suspend Belichek for a game. But forfeit a game, or the season, don't be stupid.

In baseball the third and first base coaches change the signs for every game. They're not covered by staff holding towels from view of the opposing team. And baseball teams play day after day.
Football, whatever, so someone had a camera. If the opposing team didn't change the signals from previous games, then so what. The Pats could of had someone with season tickets with a zoom lens in the stands doing the same thing. Its just that they saw the NFL slacking on the regulations.
SO WHAT, THE SIGNALS CHANGE FOR EACH GAME. WELL THEY SHOULD.
Stadiums like the Colts are so big, how do you know they don't have a SONY zoom cam off of on of the steel beams aimed at the signal caller.

I still say they should be banned from the playoffs this year no matter what their record is. You all may say it isn't fair but at the same time video taping the other teams signals and then matching them up with photographs during halftime to know what defense they're running isn't either. If they win the superbowl this year it will be tainted... TAINTED I SAY!!!

Just another scared Colt fan...idiot...and I believe the Colts got away with murder when they supposedly "won" the AFC Championship last season...The refs GAVE it to them...so the Colts can't really talk...

I find it amusing that in football actual cheating is yawned at, but in baseball people go nuts when they think someone is cheating.
They should be punished somehow, either finanically or with a suspension of their head coach.

i dont get what the whole deal about this is about.
dude if you call that cheating your calling all the teams cheaters cuz all of them study gametape of other teams before the game.
isnt it the same ****?
plus if the jets were smart enough, they would of have mixed up the playcalling and everything.
