Having been criticized by the pundits for not doing his homework, does this new international terrorism intelligence organization proposal bolster Edwards' prospects in the Democratic primaries?

If so, who does he draw support away from?

If not, why would he fail to move up in the polls?

It helps add depth to Edwards platform, something that he has often lacked. Unfortunately for him it probably won’t move him much in the polls at all because all the media is interested in reporting at this point is the process: poll numbers, fund raising, moving primary dates, etc.
Further more, if Edwards does get a bump, it will come mostly from Obama and a little bit from Richardson, Dodd, and Biden. Right now the party is divided into two camps, Pro-Hillary and anti-Hillary. Even though the anti-Hillary faction out numbers the pro-Hillary faction, because the anti-Hillary vote is spread out amongst 6 candidates, it makes Hillary unbeatable. Until the A.B.C movement unites behind a single candidate like Richardson or Biden or Obama, the 51% against Clinton will continue to just shuffle around amongst themselves.

I haven't even seen the media report on Edwards idea for CITO. I think it's a great idea and if the media actually reported on it, it would help him. But since it has gotten no attention, it will not help him in the polls.

John Edwards biggest two obstacles for the Presidency is the fact that he is an idiot and that he doesnt have enough sense to realize when he is being stupid and shut his mouth.

There is an old phrase, "It's better to remain silent and look a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt." It was designed for people like Edwards.

He wants to be president, no problem. What did you expect? Give the man his props. I am still voting for Obama and would like to see Edwards as Vice President.

He's so irrelevant now, the only way he could possibly become a blip on the political radarscope would be to do something on the magnitude of inventing a Time Machine, and even then he'd have to use it to go back in time and give himself advice on how not to come across as an elitist jerkface.

I don't think he knows how to not come across as an elitist jerkface.
