You have to setup an additional administrator account. Then you can add a password. You cannot password protect a guest account.

There would be no meaning for a Guest account then! You can simply disable the Guest account, instead. Log into your computer as the administrator, go to Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Guest. Select "Disable the Guest account". That's all!

You need to go into the Control Panel and Users Accounts
there should already be a guest account in there.. it should be disabled and you should keep it that way... but you can create a new user account and I would suggest using a unique name for it and not allowing them administrator privileges...unless that's your aim.

If u want to have a guest account on windows u need to go to control panel, then double click on user accounts and click on the guest account to turn it on. There is no password for a geust account and you cannot set one.

you cannot create password for the guest account. you can only create password for that account which have the Administrator privilage. the GUEST account dont have any administrator and you can not make any changes to the Computer settings from that account.

with xp I'm pretty sure you can't make a password for your guset account, but if you are just trying to make it where noone can sign on w/o a password you can create a passwod for administrator and then when you want to lock the pc you do ctrl+alt+delete select shutdown from the drop down and select lock and your password unlocks it

Don't think you can. Guest account has virtually no rights anyway. Why not create an account that is a local user and give that user appropriate rights?
