Eurodollars are deposits denominated in United States dollars at banks outside the United States, and thus are not under the jurisdiction of the Federal Reserve. Consequently, such deposits are subject to much less regulation than similar deposits within the United States, allowing for higher margins.
May I suggest that people who every mention of the words "euro", "dollar", "EU", "United States", etc, with an angry attack on "morons" research their answers rather than displaying their ignorance?

It is the name those idiots on the news mistakenly give to the Euro, the generally accepted currency used in Europe.
You would think those bias twerps reporting the news would check their facts well enough to know the Euro has been around for several years now!
