There is a movie from the 70's that I remember watching around Thxsgiving time. There was a plane crash and one survivor, a blonde girl out in the jungle. What I remember most is when she was found, the men that found her were picking maggots that were embedded under her skin-on her back. I believe it was a true story, I was a child back then and I cannot remember the name of this movie. I know this is a longshot but I hope someone out there has a great memeory.

"MIracles Still Happen" also known as "The Story of Juliane Koepcke". That's the movie my mother took me to where she reminded me that if ever I get lost in the woods, I have to look for a stream, which would lead to a river, then the sea...where there would be people.

I know the movie you are talking about. It was a young girl,a teenager or in her early twenties, and the plane she was on crashed in the jungles in South America,I think. She had a badly injured leg,and maggots got into it,and she would dig them out with a stick. She followed the river to find her way to people. I remember reading the story,I think in "Reader's Digest." I just can't remember the name of it,either. I remember that is WAS a true story, though.

No,it wasn't "Hey ,I'm Alive." I remember that one,It had Sally Struthers and Ed Asner, and they were lost in the mountains,in the winter. This movie was in a tropical jungle.

Yay,Bowen! Now I can sleep,LOL!
