mmmm definitely not North Las Vegas! trust me .... mmmm it depends what do you want to have close to you.... for example if you want to have the strip (Las Vegas Blvd.) close then go around Sunset street mmm maybe airport its OK... if you want to be far away... but not that far Henderson City(maybe 15mins away from strip) right now its the Hot deal! many people are buying property there and lets not forget that around Henderson its where the celebrities buy there homes. Also there is always west.. which its OK more calmed. BUT definitely NOT North Las Vegas!

Good luck!!

I live in the southwest part of the valley. Great location and everything is new and being built up. Right now there are no big casinos in the area but soon Stations will be building Durango Station just off of 215. Everything you need is right there and the neighborhoods are better than most. You have Summerlin in the northwest and Henderson in the southeast. All good areas but can be expensive. Like said before, stay away from north LV. Also stay away from any area close to the strip. If you live here the strip is one place you avoid.

The "best" area is going to depend on what you are looking for, want to be around and what you can afford.

The west side of town is newer and more expensive but also has most of the bad traffic.

East side is older but less expensive.

There is new homes being built all over Las Vegas but many of us like the "vintage Vegas" area's of town also. The older parts. There is some very nice older area's that the price is right, close to shopping and to the strip without having to deal with the bad traffic.

There is no one "best area." All depends on what your looking for.

I live in Henderson, which is next to Vegas. One thing to note if your looking for a 'Vegas address, don't live at the bottom of the valley. During our recent rain storms several new homes got flooded. Live up in the hills of Henderson.

i like anywhere but north las vegas or the east side, excluding henderson. i personally like the southwest, but the northwest is nice too and a little cheaper. in the southwest you are still somewhat close to the strip and airport, but far enough so you aren't affected by the traffic.
