There is nothing to compare, these two words are totally of different natures.
Passion is a real feeling, great unbridled desire to something.
Pretending is making out you are into something that you are not.
I think you really are asking a question with a sexual nature, just a thought.
whether passion can be pretended. True passion, is obvious.
If that is the reason you are asking, then no I think someone is pretending passion. The answer is in the question.

passion is fleeting, and can easily be faked to get ones ultimate goal. In some circumstances there is little difference. Passion is pretended when we think it is expected of us. True love is not as red hot as passion, it a slow burn that lasts. Its hard to fake it for that long.
