Sounds like everything is going just fine. Spotting after a pelvic exam is normal; and you saw the baby's heart beating. In early pregnancy and late pregnancy women have Braxton Hicks contractions, which are painless; but throughout pregnacy there a lot of aches and pains because her body is stretching and preparing to support a baby for nine months. Try to relax and help her to relax. Having a baby is a normal event. If you have insurance, they may pay for a Prenatal Care Coordinator or Health Educator to visit you and help you to make sure that you are doing everything possible to have a healthy baby.

Cramps are a normal thing in pregnancy. You girlfriend will cramp for a while now and then she will be in pain when she gets bigger the the ligaments stretching... Having blood after a pap smear is normal and you shouldn't worry about that.. You need to worry if it is bright and red blood.. Try not to stress her out anymore than she already is and just try to calm her nerves and let her know that everything is going to be okay...

Thats Great!!! CONGRATULATIONS...seing the heart beat is the first step to knowing the babies doing fine...when your girls about 13 weeks you'll be able to hear one, so dont worry, shes to early now to hear one...as far as her bleeding after the pap smear, i'd say if the doc said its normal then it is...however from experience I didnt bleed when I had a pap smear my first prenatal visit...but every woman is different...relax im sure everythings fine...and congrats again

its very normal. be reassured by seeing the heartbeat, the chances of miscarrage have just dropped for you!! After 10 weeks its a less than 5% chance of losing the baby. Good luck and God bless!
