I was learning about this in health class that when you spend alot of time with a certain friend or female or something your body gives off pheromones which like chemically synch you. Thats the base of the perfume industry (pheromones) theyre basically what you call "chemistry".
Try having a 50 year old butch Gym/health teacher tell you that. Thats nasty

There's actually a reason, or natural law (I forget the name of it) of why you and your girlfriends' periods are synced.
It's the same reason that when having sex, both heart beats start beating together and...
There was an experiment done with cuckoo clocks, where they put dozens of them in a room, all ticking at a different times, after about a week, all the clocks starting ticking together!

Me too. I'm mid-cycle. Most of the women I'm around frequently are either on the same schedule as me, or the exact opposite (two weeks later).

It's actually pretty common to synch up with other women around you. Here's an interesting article about it: http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a2_306.html

Women who are in constant contact with each other (I live with a mother and sister) generally have periods around the same time. Other things can effect it as well, such as the moon & seasons. My mother is a nurse as well.

Generally speaking, women tend to "tune into" their close friends (female) body cycles. If there is a female friend you are around a lot....chances are, you will cycle at the same time she does. I know me and my best friend do at the same time. Also, my mom and my sister go through theirs at the same time because they live together. Our bodies are smart and clue into what the bodies around us are going through.

I'm not on my period but I have had my period change to fit the timing of my friends or coworkers. I'm not sure why this happens...it just seems to.
