You probably won't find anyone here with that exact scenario. You may however have better luck and get more tips here:

www.backstage.com - check message boards
www.workingactors.com - click on actors and go to town using all the links! Be sure to check out any business before using them though. They pay to be listed, not all will be legit.

good luck!

You didn't say WHERE in MA, LEnnox, Worster or Boston!

If it's Boston, it's not much diffent. About the same in expenses, except you sort of need to know Spanish to get a job in most parts of the city these days.

The best you'll do is extra work through Central Casting, you need a GOOD car, probably should be living in Burbank or Glendale (rents about $800 a month).

ONCE you get ESTABLISHED (and that takes about six months working with three casting agencies) you can make $20K a year doing extra work, provide you are PUNCTUAL and STAY ALL DAY.

You might even land a "normal" position on a TV series that can get you a close shot or even a one liner (then you become SAG eligible, but SAG costs $2,000 to join, single payment by Money Order or Certified Check and after that you can't do NON UNION WORK. Union extras fill the first 12 positions on a UNION job and after that it's all NON UNION, but with SAG Eligability you CAN get a SAG agent, especially if you are making $20K a year doing non-union extra work, but the EXTRA work dies off in the Summer when TV ends. March through July there is ONLY Feature work. ).

Extra work pays $40 minimum (game shows, talk shows) plus OVERTIME after 8 hours (and most TV series and Movies go 10 or 11 hours) plus BUMPS for stage blood or stage smoke (extra $25).

It is common during the TV shooting season to make $115 to $125 a day doing extra work. But you may only work once eveyr two weeks.
