Without the Constitution and all it stands for our flag is meaningless. The flag is a symbol of what started this country and where it stands today. Without the Constitution there would be no flag. Yes we should ultimately be more concerned with the Constitution.

Definitely the Constitution. Our whole system of government is defined by the Constituion. The flag is a symbol of the principles defined by the Constitution. Our country was born at the adoption of the Constitution. The flag and all the rituals associated with it came later.

Yep - the flag isn't a holy relic or anything, but the constitution is what all politicians and all officers in the military swear to preserve, protect and defend. Bush too ironically. Cons seem to forget that fact while they're frantically waving their little... flags.

Yes. America didn't need flag and still doesn't. It's a symbol nothing more. America is "We the people" not a piece of cloth made in China.

The flag is an essential part of who we are, it stands for our freedom ... If a democrat gets it for President, you will probably look back on those days when the flag was flying high, life was good, and wish you had them back.
