I love it. I prefer the spelling Caden, but yes, I could see it on a man. I knew a little boy when I was way younger who's name was Caden, this was in the 90's. We called him Cade. His brother was Colton, nn Colt.

If you love the name, don't give it up necessarily. However, the whole Cayden/jayden/Braydon/Zayden trend is very big right now, and you don't want your child to be made fun of in a new country.
I think that a kid named Cayden would get called Cay as a man. If you like that, then go with it.
I think you should really sit down and think about WHAT it is that you like so much about Cayden. Is it the K sound? if so look up other names that start with that sound and pick one you think will be better. Is it the ayden? Then stick with it. But if you just like the name because Cayden (the one you babysat) was cute and wonderful, then maybe pick another name that will be more unique...
good luck in NZ with your family!!

Personally, I don't care for the name, but with so many Cayden/Jayden/Braydens out there, we will see 30 and 40 and, eventually, 70 and 80 year old Caydens one day! If you're worried about it, give him a traditional middle name, so he can always be C. James or C. William if it bothers him as an adult.

I like the name but probably would spell it Caden. I considered naming my child Caden. Aiden, Braden, Caden, Hayden, Jaden and so forth are becoming increasingly popular. I can see an adult being named Caden and because the names are becoming so popular many of his adult male peers will probably have similar names. The name is being used now much more than it was in the past; therefore, there are not a lot of adults with names such as Caden and many individuals can not associate the name with an adult. However, because of the popularity of these names this will change soon!

I think Cayden is a great name. Just think of the celeb's babies...Shiloh, Apple, Suri..... I'd much rather be a Cayden. And no, I do not think it's a feminine name either. Although I do prefer the spelling Caden.

Good for you! More people should think of what their kids will have to go through as adults when giving them "unique" (read: stupid) names. On the other hand, maybe he'd be called "Denny". I could see a girl named Cayden....

People in NZ have different names too so although it won't be common it probably won't be weird to them either...
Yes, I can see a man with the name Cayden, although I still prefer the Kayden spelling.
Good luck with moving.

It does not matter now..... the generation then will have all names like that and the common names as in like mary john and suzan will be 1 in 100000 it is a common name for the children born in the last 5 years so yes it will be just fine when he is grown!
and if you were going to shorten it for a man it would be CAYD and I think its cute =)

Hi,
I saw that name and instantly thought...not another 'Cayden".
And then you mentioned New Zealand. :)
I live in New Zealand and Soo many little boys names are cayden, brayden etc... I know 6 people here in this small town of 13,000 people and their boys are cayden.
