WASHINGTON — Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Democratic presidential candidate and no stranger to contrarian views, was the sole congressman Tuesday to vote against the House's Sept. 11 commemoration resolution
Tuesday's nonbinding resolution was a relatively short document. It had 12 "whereas" clauses — stating things like what happened the day of the terrorist attacks, who was affected and how terrorists have been targeted since then — and six resolution paragraphs establishing Sept. 11 as a day of remembrance, extending sympathies to families of victims who died and honoring those who have fought in Afghanistan and Iraq

If you still feel that "traitor" is too strong a term for Kucinich, check out this video of him denouncing the USA on Syrian TV

Jane Fonda was never tried for treason after pulling a similar stunt in North Vietnam, and Kucinich won't be either. In fact, his liberal constituents will keep right on electing him to Congress.
Treason used to be regarded as a serious crime. People were hanged for it. Now it's a convenient way for liberals to get their faces on TV.

Liberals now have treason covered under free speech, but if we were hanging traitors, we'd need Pelosi, Murtha, Kennedy, Reid, and a long list of others from the left wing...

you obtain it backwards. the professional conflict Republicans tried to connect with Dennis Kucinich. He grow to be the guy who presented the impeachment. maximum Democrats prefer to question Cheney, yet they're afraid that the impeachment could garner help for the Bush administration. it fairly is the reason the Republicans are for impeaching Cheney, besides the reality that whilst it includes an certainly vote, they're going to vote against it. you should be waiting to make certain interior the direction of the Republicans trickery. yet I nonetheless think of the Democrats ought to impeach Cheney, if no longer something, they are in a position to a minimum of get it on checklist that they disapprove of him.

Absolutely not. The First Amendment guarantees that the right to Freedom of Speech may not be abridged. Therefore, it guarantees absolute Freedom of Speech. It is unAmerican to support charging Kucinich for treason for criticizing our (admittedly irrational and foolish) foreign policy.
While Abraham Lincoln may have been one to intimidate his political opponents in such a manner, Abraham Lincoln was no great man or great hero, despite the leftist propaganda to the contrary. Lincoln instituted big government, invaded a region that exercised its constitutional right of secession, deported the leader of the opposition (he reluctantly decided not to hang him), and committed numerous war crimes. Had justice reigned supreme and Lincoln's thugs lost his war, he would have been hung, along with his cronies, for crimes against humanity (it is no wonder that Karl Marx congratulated Lincoln on his reelection or that National Socialist German Workers Party fuhrer Adolph Hitler was an admirer of Lincoln).

Nay....he should be tarred and feathered, and driven down main street for all to see, then fired from Congress and left to his own disillusioned state of mind...naked in the wilderness of non-thinkers.
I wonder why Syria didn't behead him right there for being so stupid. That would of been an act mercy for the poor demented guy.

I do not agree with what he did but he did not commit treason. Another quick fact...hanging is not a form of execution in the United States anymore.

I disagree with Kucinich, but many of you conservatives really do seem to have an orgasmic love of the idea of hanging a human being. A sociopathic desire to see someone suffer, that I find rather disturbing.

Ha! We asked this at the very same time. Great minds think alike.
The answer is YES, definitely! If he had done this 100 years ago he would already be hanging from the nearest tree.
