Making stylish diabetic bracelets with beads???

Question

On the internet I was looking around for pretty diabetic bracelets and basically, what I saw was a bead chain for like 60 bucks. I know I could def. make those myself but, what kind of cord should I use to string the beads? Maybe metal memory wire? Or......? I'm not sure.

It just shows people that your diabetic in emergency situations when no one is around to tell someone.

There's a lot of stuff you can use to string your beads. memory wire, while durable, isn't going to be the best bet for that use. If you don't want to muck about with a clasp, elastic cord is going to be your best bet (I don't like it because knots can come undone and then your beads are everywhere). If you're willing to take a little extra time and add a clasp, I would use either nylon thread (if your beads are really small) or waxen linen (if the beads have larger holes). Waxen linen is the strongest thread I've ever used, and getting it wet won't kill it. Nylon's going to be the next step down, strength wise, but still very sturdy. If it's going to be worn as frequently as it should, be aware that you will have to restring it periodically--i.e. every few years (this is the nature of beaded jewelry).

If you go to a craft store, usually by the beads they have a coated cord type material that is great for stringing beads. I wouldn't recommend the metal wire.

do u have a activity foyer keep close to via or the different activity shops some have sections that have each and all the beads and the stuff to make your own like kits... some activity shops have classes like cake adorning and so on. rather worth sorting out...

what is a diabetic bracelet? is it for a charity? or a special bracelet detecting low or high blood sugar? be more specific.
