Is the doctor worried? That's what I would gauge my reaction on. Five weeks is VERY early, and very scary. I feel for you! If the doctor seemed fairly calm and not too worried, then I would just try to stay calm and pray this week and wait the best you can for the next appointment.
Are there other concerns? I am surprised you're going to the doctor this frequently, this early. If she's only 5 weeks, I hope nothing else is going on that would keep you going in every week...?

My bestfriend went through this . She ended up naturally miscarrying . I am sorry . They waited 2 weeks to see if any developments changed , the sac had grown ,but the baby didn't . She refused to have a d and c /abortion . The doctor told her that it might not end easy , but she doesn't believe in abortion . Another two weeks and she naturally began to bleed and miscarry .She then let them perform a d and c . The doctors were furious with her that she made them wait , but mentally it was better for her . God Bless you and your women .
I never heard that a natural abortion could cause Gonorrhea , this came directly from a doctors mouth ?
If the baby isn'y formed right the body 90% of the time will reject it .
Sorry and God Bless .

Well, first of all, I'm a bit amazed that she would have TWO ultrasounds at only 5 weeks pregnant. Are you leaving stuff out? Generally, this is only done if you have IVF.
A miscarriage cannot cause gonorrhea, but gonorrhea can cause miscarriage. I would wait until next week and see what happens. If there still is no growth, sadly, the pregnancy will likely end.

I am a retired OB nurse.
5 weeks is still very early in the pregnancy to tell. Make sure your gf keeps her doctor's appointment.
No, gonorrhea is not caused by a natural abortion.
Sexually transmitted diseases are caused by Sex with a person who has the disease.
Hang in there for a week and see what the next appointment is like. Be sure your gf is getting plenty of sleep. Good nutrition. No smoking or drugging.
Don't be scared or worried until you are told by the doctor that there is a reason to be worried.
Be sure and ask the doctor questions. The doc are in and out of the room quickly. Be sure to get your questions answered.
Make a list of questions if you need to. Call in with questions to the doctor or nurse if you need to. It is very important to understand what is going on. It is your right as a parent.

gee, 5 weeks ? I am surprised that they are checking anything.
Was there some reason for the tests this early ?
With my niece it was at least 3 months before any tests were done .
. A natural abortion would not cause any diseases, but if the woman had an STD it might affect the pregnancy. I would relax and just let the baby develop

Whoa, quiet down. i won't have the capacity to have faith your general practitioner might say some thing like that. by using capacity of normal examination, there's no way for him/her to declare that the toddler hasn't progressed. while you're in straightforward terms 5 weeks pregnant, you just about in simple terms found out you have been pregnant. How can he/she say it did not advance this week? the two way, little ones can advance in any different case. some advance slightly speedier and a few advance slightly slower. it incredibly is why there is weight and top distinction between little ones. it incredibly is why some little ones are born some weeks early and are large yet others born on the right comparable time would want slightly help respiration. i'm helpful each little thing is large. i might advise you to get a sparkling general practitioner.... quickly. **you have already asked this question.... you acquire loads of reliable solutions there. have faith me. each little thing is large except you at the instant are not which includes some guidance. Your checklist sounds like a nutjob!

When my husband and I were first married we got pregnant. At eight week I started to spot and went in to have a sonogram done. There was no heart beat. We were devastated. I ended up having to have a D and C to get rid of the pregnancy because it just stopped developing. That was seven years ago. I have not been able to conceive since, even with the help of a fertility specialist. It has been the hardest time in my life, so if this is the case for you and girlfriend, be strong for her because she will need it. I hope and pray that everything works out for you better than it did for us. We have come to the decision that we are going to adopt, but the pain of not being able to bring my own child into the world is something I will have for the rest of my life.
Be strong, it is OK to be scared and that is natural, just do what the doctor tells you and try to keep your spirits up.
Good luck! please e-mail me if you or your girlfriend need an ear or would like to talk.

The only think to do is just wait and see what the doctor says at the next appointment . Make sure your g/f doesn't over do herself, tell her to take it easy. Good Luck

i've never experianced this myself. but i would say dont worry to much. the dr knows what he/she's saying. all babies develop differently. plus shes not that far along so, i would just pray and hope that everything turns out fine and normal.
