I used to call my pediatrician when I had a question and the nurses their would usually give me good advice. If it was a breastfeeding question I called the lactation consultant at the hospital where I attended bf classes. Lastly, I used some friends that had friends who have babies for advice (none of my friends have babies yet!).

babycenter.com or whattoexpect.com

I prefer whattoexpect.com I really like that website, it is full of helpful answers and you can chat with other moms on the message boards. Love it ♥

I'm addicted to this too. I have found that I am actually learning things I didn't know or even would have looked up if some people never asked these questions.

You need to reach out to others. It isn't an addiction unless you are happier here than in real life.

Don't ignore your life or family because of answers.

You can find a mother's group in the community or start one yourself.

Get out for a short time when daddy gets home. YOu need to have some time on your own.

Get some books on Babys. I must say that it is good to read or ask advice...but when it comes right down to it, you need to trust your maternal instnict

The funny thing is i love tyhis site because people ask the questions i am looking for and the answers tend to be very real world i also like to answer them because i am on my second overly complicated pregnancy so its nice to help people who are having a hard time with theirs or to help in general. i hope the other moms can answer this question better but just know that each and every time you get a valid answer its because your not alone and its real people and some offer email through their profile.

Playgroup I run one and its terrific and its only for babies so its great to get ideas from other Mums and have a "social" day where the baby and the Mum get to have fun.
Good Luck

Be careful about the advice you get from here!! It's scary to read some responses! I never realized how dumb some people are until I came here!

www.about.com (parenting or baby sections). Also www.ivillage.com. It's always fun to compare stuff and find out info that is otherwise difficult to learn.

You are asking questions as we are answering them. What info do you want. You really didn't ask a valid question. When you do, I might give you a better answer. Good luck with your baby. I hope he or she is happy and healthy.

I like http://forum.baby-gaga.com/

There is some drama, but all in all, it's a very helpful and supportive site.
