October thru February. Usually great weather less crowds and the prices are lower (except Christmas/New Years).
There a many, many things to do no matter what the age.

Anytime is the right time. Avoid hurricane season, which I believe is from June - Oct. I just got back from Cancun last Friday, I was not worried. Cancun is perfect for newborns and people in their golden years, so go when your time permits.

Dont listen to MUSTARD 100 ... every one can enjoy Cancun at its best! it wonderful but I would recommend in Spring its not too Hot and you can enjoy it better.
Just dont forget to drink plenty of liquids and try to get in cool places once in a while because as every beach its humid.
You will have a great time!!

Gone in mid-January and the weather is beautiful at that time the highest was about 82 and the lowest was around 70. Use a sweater in the evening when we went walking on the beach.
Enjoy, have fun and relax.

several of us in age from 45 to 62 are headed down there for the fourth time,,,,we go in October,,,,crowds are less and it is off season,,,,,,we have never had any problems with the weather, but we always get the hurricane insurance just in case,,,,,,lots to see and do for the "young 60's" Down town at night is for those who are still young,,,but day trips and lazing on the beach are fabulous,,,,,we have always enjoyed outselves

Sorry to tell you this...but the best time to go is in your 40's.
However, if your girlfriend is in her 20's, you can still have a good time because the average of your two ages works out...

the best time to go is around either early spring (not too hot but still nice) and early summer.

not in Summer but you could visit ixtapa its a beautiful place and relaxing wit a beautiful beach
