I have a cool idea. You need a mirror, a laser pointer, and a fog machine(optional). This will show the different ways that light hits a medium(your hand a wall etc.) and will show how u can bend light. Show a example by pointing the laser pointer at the mirror and turning the mirror so the light shines on a student in the classroom. That is all i got, and its probably not enough for a whole project. I will tell you if i get any more ideas. Also, I really hope you don't get a F. I never get Fs. If i did i would be VERY angry.

I found some questions that you could try.

How do different color lights vary in the amount of heat energy that they carry?
Compare the intensity of light from different light sources.
How does color affect the absorption and reflection of light?
How does the intensity of light changes by distance?
How does a surface condition affect the light reflection?
How does a prism analyze the light?
What materials are transparent, translucent or opaque?
Is there such a thing as invisible light?
Which color light is the warmest?

The first thing would be to go to the teacher and find out the details of what is expected from you. either that or ask a classmate.

Something with fiber optic. You may find something with fiber optics with your Christmas decorations. Something really simple would be to get a flashlight bulb and then make a cone out of poster paper and coat it with aluminum foil to make a reflector and show how light can be focused to make a light beam brighter.

good luck with the project

Measure if certain colors absorb more light than others. Get some black and white and blue and red and yellow construction paper, make some square or whatever and put them outside or in a window and measure the surface tempurature of each one with a meat thermometer.

I'm not clear what aspect of light you are studying but you might want to think about how the spectrum affects the perceived color of objects. Get a pair of diffraction glasses (rainbow glasses) and look at sunlight. You see a rainbow. Now try wearing them in one of those parking lights that has those funny yellow lights that make cars look the wrong color. What do you see? Try charting what color a series of objects appears in various light (Black light, candle light, florescent light, etc.) vs. what color appear in the diffraction glasses.

Do they could layout a clean form of light bulb? if so, have your daughter think of of a clean shape or layout for the bulb. She could have this is cool to touch or turn shade whilst warm. possibly it could be made up of a diverse form of cloth that may not harm whilst dropped. i understand that homework of Christmas harm isn't acceptable, yet each so often instructors are under somewhat some rigidity to instruct each thing the state says they are think to instruct. i understand i'm think to have my 6th graders know-how how the Federal Reserve works devoid of any matierals. maximum adults don't comprehend that!
