There IS something about Parker Posey. For playing flighty girls, she seems to ground the movie, making scenes she's in work better than they would have.
Parker and the Pomeranian stole the show in "Superman Returns", even when she was standing quietly to the side.
I became a fan of this interesting and sort of offbeat actress through "Party Girl". She kept the character from being irritating and unlikable, making you support her throughout the film, hoping she would get her guy. Didn't you worry about her when Liev Schreiber's character became violent? That's very interesting that she can communicate that to her audience~at least to me. You didn't want anything bad to happen to Mary. Someone else in that role... I simply can't imagine it.
She was a lot of fun on "Will & Grace", too, and would have been a good addition to the cast.
She reminds me of a mixture of other actresses, yet she remains identifiable~her own person. She's very distinctive, that's for certain.

I don't know.. but I'm the same way.. it's hard to dislike anything with her in it.. funny timing actually.. I just watched Waiting for Guffman about 6 minutes ago.. although I do have to say.. The Oh in Ohio has won best movie for me.. That is a role that ONLY she could have played.. anyone else and it would have been pathetic.

Because she was the only person in the cast of SCREAM 3 who refused to take the whole thing seriously, and because of that (and HER) it was a much better movie than it deserved to be!

Because she rocks! And because she wore real braces in Best in Show. I love her in all of the Christopher Guest films.
