If this question comes to your mind, it has most certainly been in someone elses.

People don't have to know that there is a reason to exist to do so. It's survival, if you have fun along the way, why not enjoy it while the dream lasts.

If that's true, than when we die, wouldn't we just wake up from the dream. If we could remember the dream then it would be useful to learn everything you can so that you can keep that.

On the other hand it is hard to grasp a concept of reality if in your mind it is questionable. Reality is just a word referring to what exists as true. If we are nonexistent than the nonexistence we live in is reality to us. reality is where you are and stay. As for others in your nonexistent reality, they to know nothing of their nonexistence and therefore are in fact real to you.

Every thing in my opinion is already meaningless in a way. we are an evaluational coincidence, whose brain however mysterious still yells survival. This would mean that the only thing we are meant to do by self definition is to survive.

i have thought about this before, and it's easy to imagine for something like that to be possibe, for this to be all an illusion, and yet who really does think it's possible? it may seem like it could be, but no one wants to think that it really, really could be, so therefore i have no idea how'd i'd think about life, i supposed if it's not reality i'm living now than it would depend on what reality really was in order for me to determine what i'd consider this none-reality to mean to me.
the whole thought reminds very much of the matrix however, no doubt u got the idea from there, i bet many people have considered it or thought about it, even if it was just for a second.

You feel connectedness because you are a sentient being and choose to do that.

I think any "meaning" you have in your life comes from within - not from your environment. So, if it is all a dream, in my mind, I have meaning, so therefore, it is - and I am real.
