Starlin Castro of the Chicago Cubs (National League) is the youngest player playing in the Major Leagues right now. He was born March 24, 1990 and is the only active player born in that year. The youngest player in the American League right now is Dayan Viciedo. He was born on March 10, 1989 and he plays for the Chicago White Sox. He is the only player currently in the American League to be born in 1989. No player in the American League was born any year after that. And just because I've been doing research, here are some other players born in 1989: Madison Bumgarner of the San Francisco Giants is twenty, turning twenty one on August 1st. Ruben Tejada of the New York Mets is twenty, turning twenty onne on October 27th. Mike Stanton of the Florida Marlins is also twenty. He will be twenty one on November 8th. These are based on the Active Rosters of all MLB teams. And I looked at the Rosters today, so this list is very acurate.

Your question is unclear about whether it is current or past players. Another past player is Sandy Koufax.
