To a certain extent.
I am the seed that was harvested. I have grown and gone on to harvest more.
I look after the plants that seeded me; but seeded one that will drift alone.
The harvest around me will live and thrive or wither. It is the seeds closest to me that make a difference in my small patch of the field.
Wow; such a great Q thank you!

...(to some degree, we all are)
A tiny seed
on the ground in the fall
looking to be loved
and nurtured, that's all.
then it freezes...and it's lonely
and it snows...it's so cold.
But, finally, the sun shines bright
and reminds the seed of home
of all the brothers and sisters
once nestled in the loom.
Now it rains...the seed's sprouting
at the touch of warmth, knowing
it's time to put down roots
and time to make a home...
time to start a family of it's own
Someday, all will see
the powerful determination
of the seed
as the Great Oak Tree

Can't believe such a thought provoking question got such a poor response!
Maybe they're all still thinking! x
(I'm loving the poem Evelyn's quoted; never heard that before, made me want to go check his name on google now! x
