I read that it's going to be a novel... not a memior. His memior did really well despite all that happened, so overall, it probably means he's a good writer (and good at making things up)... Therefore, his novel might be interesting, and well written. If it sounds good, I'll read it.

I might as those memoirs aren't really my cup of tea. People are funny. I'm sure if I wrote an accounting of my life, I would exaggerate the negative and accentuate the positive. It's nothing unique to James Frey, it's called being human. But, I'm not a big fan of Sarah Vowell or David or Amy Sedaris etcetera....an occasional essay in The NewYorker or Atlantic Monthly is about all I can take in one dose. That said, if his fiction is like a Dave Eggers or Nicholson Baker or Chuck Palahniuk, I might really dig it.

I doubt it. After the hype about his first book which he passed off as non-fiction, it would be hard to pick up anything he wrote and not wonder if he lied again or plagiarized.

Yes! Say what you want about the guy, but he's a terrific writer, so I will definitely be reading his next book. [For all the naysayers out there-- it's fiction, so it's 'true'.]
