Some of both. Some I chat with online, some I talk to on the phone, some I email with, some make me an avatar with a horn... Those I would say are friends. The ones I don't talk with so much would be my contacts. =)

I would say 80% have turned out to be friends while the others are just contacts. But I love them all.
