Next week I'm suppose to be talking about my cognitive thinking I had when I was a child. I'm really freaking confused on this can someone give me an example of what it is.....What I understand so far is and let me know if I'm right it's the thought process of understanding problems and then figuring the solution to them. I'm not really good at understanding technical words and all that so if someone can give an example in a sentence, that be great.

Cognition deals more with rational thinking and reasoning, rather than with emotional feeling.

One example is one's reaction to a dangerous situation. We may feel fear, which is an emotion, but we also have the ability to react rationally to determine how we can extricate ourselves from the dangerous situation.
