You can do one of FOUR things.
1. Use a lower wattage globe, which then should produce less heat.
2. Raise the globe so its not so close, reducing the amount of direct heat.
3. Increase ventilation to help move air and reduce heat.
4. Increase the size of the vivarium, giving your lizard a chance to move away from the heat, if he feels the need.
The first would be easiest.

Also be aware of other sources of heat, which might be adding to the problem. Like is the vivarium in direct sunlight, or near/above a heating vent?

You should buy a 60 watt bulb, but that's not such a good idea, i've tried it and makes the temperature go down about 5 or 6 degrees, you should buy 2 thermometers and place one at each end to control the temperature, it's normal temperature should be about 85 to 95 degees F.

Get a 50 or 60 watt bulb. You could also get a rheostat or a thermostat to regulate the amount of heat given off by the bulb.
