Do you prefer to have something (an object, status, goal, object of desire, etc) or to want it? Is one state more pleasing or satisying than the other? And do wanting and having make you feel satisfied or dissatisfied in different ways?

I have learned that the most important thing in life is to learn to live in the moment, to savor each experience, live each moment as if it was your last. While attaining a goal is rewarding, life is about living in the here and now.

I would prefer to have so i could do what I want... wanting and not having simply leaves you wanting. Wanting can motivate you, like Donald Trump... that is called Greed. In these circles greed is valued as a virtue... you can have and still want simply by using what you have for others. How much can one person use?

Both and neither. I already have just about everything I want materialistically and they are not meaningful to me as when I learn something new, so I guess what I want and always want is to learn news things.

wanting. generally the journey to acheive or attain something is far greater and meaningful than the goal.
