anyone ever made a movie or a song on the fairy tale of the little match girl.

Its a sad lovely story ..

There was a TV movie made of "The Little Match Girl" back in 1987 starring Keshia Knight-Pulliam of "Cosby" fame.

I don't believe any movie or song has been made about "the little macht girl" but an animation movie does exist. I saw it in French under the name of "La petite fille aux allumettes" but cannot tell if it's a French production or not.
