I have heard to have sex every other day around when you expect to ovulate. Well my man and I really enjoy sex, so is it bad to have sex every day (or twice a day in some cases...) during this time? We're trying to conceive baby #1. I'm just concerned that if we have sex more often, he wont have reproduced enough sperm

My doctor told me to have sex everyday during the fertile time, 5 days before ovulation up until the day afterwards. He said the every other day rule is for men suspected to have a low sperm count. I got pregnant the first month of trying with my daughter, and the 2nd month with the current pregnancy.
I looked the info up after he told me this and found research that said you have a 25% chance of conceiving when sex is everyday during your fertile time, and 22% chance when sex is everyother day.

Have at it. You ovulate 7 days after your period ends and for 7 days you ovulate... you could even have sex 2 days before you are expected to ovulate and still get pregnant.. sperm take a couple days to reach the egg. And have sex as often as you wish. He makes MILLIONS and MILLIONS every 24 hours. Have him drink lots of water, wear loose fitting clothing and not to take hot baths before making love.... This will definitely increase your chances of getting pregnant... GOOD LUCK!!! And i hope this was helpful!!

I think it should be okay. They say it reduces the sperm count, but its probably from 2 million to 1 million LOL!
I've also heard to have sex for seven days after your period, then every other day after, to improve chances of conceiving...that's what I'm doing this month!

Once a day is perfectly ok. he should be fit and in shape, eat well and many oysters and shrimps, lots of juices and fresh food. I read somewhere that putting ice on the testicles increases sperm count.... but google it anyway
good luck and have fun while conceiving the baby. your love is the most important thing, so focus on that.. more than on the baby itself.....

Sex every other day is for men with below average sperm count. As long as you know your man has a normal sperm count, go for it. Every day is fine....and the occasional double whammy is fine too (key word: occasional!). You do want to give him 24 hours to replenish his supply, so to speak.

Exactly!!! Sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days in great conditions, 3 days normally.
Sperm take at least 24 hours to grow and gain enough stregnth for the long journey. As much as you want to jump eachothers bones, please resist the urge, this will only harm your chaces of conceiving. Limit it to every other day.
