Im having some major pregnancy symptoms, but negative results. (Im not due for period until 8/16 or 17) If it is the hormones making me sick, then why are my tests negative? Could a small amount of hormones in the begining of pregnancy (in amounts undetectable to pregnancy tests) cause you to have dizziness, fatigue, nausea and sore boobs? I was just thinking about that and had to ask. Thanks!!!!

Sometimes the hormones still may be to low for the test to detect. Also does symptoms could be symptom for your period. also you tested to soon if you are suppose get your period on 9/16 or 17 wait to see if you miss your period than take the test good luck

Wow, I am right there with you!!! I should be due on the 20th but feel undoubtedly preggers. I've had PMS symptoms for 10 years and they havent ever felt like this. Everyone is telling me it is all in my head, but I swear my bbs have doubled in size. Nipples are very sensitive to the touch. I'm nauseated sporatically throughout the day. And today I've had the worst cramps of my life (implantation?) I've never had cramps this bad and they've only been on the actual day of or day before Aunt Flo arrives. I've lashed out at my husband for telling me it's all in my head. He even pointed out today that my boobs look like dolly parton. It's very frustrating. Ive taken about 5 HPTs all negative. I figured that if the HCG hormone was present and causing all of these symptoms it would show on a test. HOWEVER, it is the Estrogen hormone flooding my system that is causing all of this chaos and will not cause a HPT to show up positive. It is only after the egg implants itself in the uterine wall that you will get the HCG hormone in your system (the one that tells your white blood cells to not fight off the egg as an intruder). Pregnancy tests, no matter how effective they say they are, really don't give you an accurate result until after you've missed your period. I've been driving myself crazy because I've had all these symptoms but nothing to prove I am indeed preggers. Some women are just far more in tune with their bodies than others and can suspect slight change. If an egg is fertilized, theres got to be some chemical change somewhere in the body that tells the uterus "hey get ready for the egg, its coming".

My levels at 14 dpo with my 2nd son was 46 which is on the low side and I was soooooooo sick with him I couldn't eat or sleep and I just felt horrible. I didn't feel as bad with my 1st son though and the HCG levels were much higher (although I was still sick with him just not as bad). So yes low HCG levels can affect your body. I always show signs of pregnancy at 7 dpo, way to soon to take an HPT.

Yes those could be pregnancy symptoms, but it could also be premenstral syndrome (PMS). They mimic each other in every detail. Your tests should show positive for pregnancy hormones, or it's just PMS. You might try a pregnancy test again in a week but most are highly accurate now even very early on.

My sickness started with my first pregnancy around 5 weeks when my HCG levels were around 4500. This pregnancy they didn't start until 7 weeks, and my levels had been 24,300 a few days before. It can vary.
