best way to clean scratches in a lucite table top. it is one of those cool dining tables from the seventies.

If it is just a few scratches, I wonder if the stuff they advertise for fixing scratched eye glasses would work? If the table is so scratched up it looks like frosted glass, I maybe a place that does auto body work might be able to re-polish and buff the surface for you? If lucite part is a flat, removable, insert, it might be easier to just replace with new material.

Do a Yahoo search on scratches on lucite.....there is a product called Novus the comes in numbered bottles depending on how bad the scratches are, and it evidently removes the scratches. I've never used it, but it sounds like it works. There are 64thousand hits on it.

there is a product called 'novus'. its a three step process. start with #3 heavy scracthes rub or use polish wheel , then #2 for smaller scatches same method, then #1 which is more of a final polish. i use it on my harley windsheild and at work as a glass contractor. a local glass shop may have it or a plastics supplier
