As a Christian, Homosexuality is called the sin that can not be named. To me that means that I can't support it. It's not that i don't like gays, it just that my religion won't allow me to support it. So gay marriage is wrong.

I don't care much, one way or the other. I'm pretty tolerant.

However, I believe it is in everyone's best interests if the individual states make their own laws on this issue. Almost all marriage laws are state-level laws anyway. Keep it there.

For folks wanting to have an across-the-board federal ruling on gay marriage, I caution you to realize that this is like tossing a coin, and you can lose.

It's amazing that we're still talking about this!
Nobody but committed gay couples, (a minority
within a minority), gives a damn.
The issue was raised by the media as a red herring
during Bush's re-election campaign to distract from
the "unjustified war" issue and has been 'perking
along' ever since.
In a way, it's a useful political tool. It's just
interesting enough that we're wiling to argue and
take sides, but no-one cares enough for it to
become truly divisive.

The first thing i noticed to a couple of responces is people were talking about man and woman being able to have children. What about those men and women that can't have children. Are they thought to be worth less than hetrosexuals that can have children? I don't think anyone that is committed to one another should be dennied of one another. There are pleanty of hetrosexuals that should not be marrid... hurting the other partner is not acceptable. Open marriages... I don't understand that.

I think if you want to marry another consenting adult then go for it. Why should it affect you, it's not like your in their bedroom. If Jim and John or Mary and Sarah want to get married who am I to say no. It isn't like us heterosexuals have got a lock on the whole marriage thing, hello have you seen the divorce rate??

i think if they just took the word marriage out and called it a union with same benefit's as marriage, we wouldn't be talking about this anymore, it would be a done deal.its only a issue-because they want to call it marriage, and we all know that's wrong??

Just because men and women can procreate, who said that it was right... or that it was wrong for men to be with men or women to be with women?

I think gay marriage should be legal.
