what the umpire shoots when a hitter strikes, it doesn't really sound like strike what the hell do they say???

it just doesn't sound like he is saying a simple "strike" its like he carries it on like strikieeeeeeeeeee

hahahah...i know what you mean....i was thinking the exact thing.....but i found out there saying strike with alot of spirit and emotion....which makes it sound weird ....lol =) hope this helps....remember STRIKEEEEE

I think you care mistaking "Strike ONE" for that. The umps just say it really fast. They have to say it fast and loud so:

A. The game can go faster, meaning a shorter job.

and

B.Everyone can hear.

C'mon now what do you think they would say? No it's definitely not strikey. It's just STRIKE but they tend to drag it out.
