don't worry about the tears (if that's what you're talkin about) Use your body language and voice to "act" like you're crying. If you dont have a line burry your face in your hands and sob. If you have to cry with a line... that's a little tougher. Let the emotion show on your face. Be so into character that you don't even have to think about it. Let it happen as if you didn't want it to happen (if that makes sense) Good luck!

crying is easy. Laughing is hard. Think of a moment that made you cry. Made you sad. You must relive it. You can't just will it. You must relive the process and the moment of the event that brought you to tears. Where were you? What were you doing? Was it sunny our? Was it warm? Cold? Relive the siutation and then let it go. All of the rest will follow. What were the smells, etc.

4 bad answers and 2 good ones. If you are in character and doing what an actor is supposed to be doing, reacting to stimuli in the scene the way the character reacts, you will cry is the character is supposed to cry. If you are busy thinking of sad moments in your life or the pepper on your hands, you will not cry. You must be the character, no the actor.

Well.... in acting, they wouldn't make a character cry if it wasn't a situation not to. If you know what I mean.
In other words, they wouldn't make you cry for no reason...
So the situation must be sad, upsetting, etc.

If you want to cry during your performances, try putting yourself in that situation your character is in.Hopefully that'll help you shed your tears!

Good uck!!

How did your acting teacher recommend you cry for a role. It's easy.

in general, just commit to being in the moment. if you're truly connected to the character you'll truly be able to emote that sadness without trying to force yourself to cry.

the only way i know is to think of the most horrible, terrible saddest moment in your life. Something that really would bring you to tears. My sister did it all the time when she'd get in trouble.
