The fire-breathing variety? Not really, but stranger things have been unearthed.
In the sense that a dragon can be a large, lizard-like creature? Defninitely.

Yes, I have some fossil bones of a terpitroid bolonogus, which is a type of dragon. He was about fourteen feet long and eight feet tall. This type of dragon did not have wings. He lived only in the eastern part of the U. S. He became extinct when the white men came over from Europe in the early 1500's.

well when you ask a question like I say why wouldn't they exist?
now there was a big lizard that lived a long time ago(almost like a kenodo dragon but bigger.) but after the dinosaurs that was said to be in Australia. this lizard killed allot of early people but in a movie on animal "LOST into the past' or something like that it said that "we" used fire to kill them and set fire to the bush. now other tribes might have had lizards ruining or maby have killed people wile trying to escape the fire and some who saw that linked the fire with the animal.

Now why might they not exist? they would have lived a long time ago and were killed by the KT event. but the water dragon would have lived.

now they could have moved on land as said in the site and humans would haved not liked that much. there would have been fight and nobody lived to tell the story so dragons went into myth and legend. sad. but the water dragon could be living at the bottom of the ocean and we have just not found them, there fossils could been lost to Earth's platal movements, or we just have not found them. saddly the fossle found on that show was not real but there were fossils like that that were so that is one of the factors pointing to dragons. and like said the stories were mixed up but dragons still could have lived maby like the priestoric dragon only four limbs. http://www.genesispark.com/genpark/history/history.htm

so having said all that yes I believe dragons once lived, but they would not still be alive today.
one more thing...komodo dragons are monitor lizerds now they may resimble dragons and that could be one of the stories that evalved into dragons but konodo dragons are MONITOR LIZERDS

The Symbolic Dragon exists today. It is the symbol of Knowledge. You've heard the saying that knowledge is power? That's where the fire breathing part comes in. Serpent is another name for dragon. That's why there was a serpent in the "Tree of Knowledge".

I believe that anicent people referred to "Dragons" as now what today scientists call Dinosaurs. I'm sure cavemen have drawings of large massive flying creatures that do resemble dinasaurs at the time. It is possibly that anicent civilizations made up stories and legends of where these "dragons" orginated from and what speical power it may had possessed.

Dragons DID exist.
The carbon dating scientists use is inaccurate.
Dinosaurs were actually the dragons that existed long ago!
Legends of dragons span from England to China. In England, the knights killed off all of the dragons until they became extinct. The fossils of dinosaurs you see today are dragon fossils.

probably not , many dinosaurs which actually bear a resemblance to a certain extend with dragons exist.
we know dinosaurs exist because of the fossils.
dragon which look like some dinosaurs to some extend , have no fossils found to back it's existence.
if it exist , either it's a divine creature not bound by science , or it's send by alien ^^

Ya, sure. They found dinosaurs buried for millions of years, who's to say that dragons weren't top dog in/around that time. Not to mention, nearly every single human group has their own variation of this creature. There are drawings/images dating back to ancient times that show us these creatures were real to these people. And it was all over the world, not just centered in Europe or China.

Many people say no, but im not too sure about that. If you think about it, almost all civilization stories say dragons existed. aztec, chinese, midevil, etc. all have stories that dragon existed, and the design of dragons are all different.

Absolutely, they used to live in our realm or dimension along with the unicorn, but they were saved from mankind when he started to hunt them....
They are now living in another dimension, and when man has evolved further, we will once again share the wisdom both the dragon and the unicorn have to share...
